Bleddy hell, it’s been a long time since we’ve update this hasn’t it? I guess an apology is in order, but we’ve actually just been busy so #fucktheking. Is it really lame to hashtag inside a blog? Probably.

Anyway, enough of that, so you may or may not know, but we’ve done a lot of stuff over the last few months, I guess we should start with the single! SO! Back in April we drove down to the dark depths of Cornwall and spent a day hanging out with the sound engineer extraordinaire Ross Rothero Bourge at Cube Recording Studios. Mr Bourge has engineered us a few times live and as well as being quite the gentleman he also has some pretty incredible skills in the studio. We didn’t really know what to expect going in to record with Ross, but I think we can safely say that he smashed it out the park.

You might be thinking to yourself ‘April? Didn’t you only release the single in July?!’ and you’re not wrong. After a lot of time figuring out the best way to release the track and trying to arrange shooting a music video it ended up taking a lot longer than we thought it would. We had a great idea for a music video, but after talking with the guys that filmed it, apparently having us all riding laser mounted triceratops against an angry horde of the undead was ‘out of budget’ so instead we settled on a shipping container. But it seems as though that worked, and we’ve been amazed by the response so far. If you haven’t already then check it out here.

I now realise I’m doing this a bit backwards, but it’s been so long since we wrote on here that I forgot we hadn’t even talked about the tour! Back in March our lovely pals in TinnedFruit and Smokin’ Durry’s were kind enough to let us tag along on a little tour with them. While we only went away for a total of 6 days, the amount of hilarity that occurred was unbelievable. So unbelievable in fact that we ended up having to make 3 separate videos documenting the lot, which you can check out below. I’d like to say they’re the best tour documentaries ever created but that would probably be a bit big headed.

So what else have we done? The week after we dropped the new single we played a not-even-long-enough-to-call-it-a-mini-tour-tour, with a show in Livewire and a show at Exile in Plymouth, and I think it’s safe to say they were 2 of the best shows we have ever played to date. We’ve played a lot of shows at Livewire over the years, and it can be a real mixed bag, sometimes people aren’t too interested, sometimes they’ve had to leave to get the bus home, or whatever, but this show was like the good old days, a packed room of kids all singing along and getting involved, so if you were there, THANKS!

And Exile, oh Exile. We were lucky enough to be able to join MetalFest2k15 as the token emo band, along with our pals in Moorhaven/Pillars/Drifted and Halflight which let’s be honest is an unnecessary line up as it is. We were expecting it to be a busy night, but what we weren’t expecting was that not only would people stick around and watch our 30 minutes of sadness, but that it would be hands down the best show we’ve ever played. It may have been sweaty to the point of needing goggles, but every single person in that room stood there and danced or sang along to every song and we couldn’t thank all of you enough. If you were there, you are awesome. You can check out a full gallery from the show here.

Not content with playing to sick shows back to back, we figured ‘ere, there’s a festival down that there Cornwall, why don’t we go and play at that bad boy?’. I’m ofcourse paraphrasing, we actually spent months speaking to the Boardmasters organisers who kindly gave a slot on the Beach Stage on Wednesday 5th August, and it was once again incredible! While you might think being at a festival when it’s raining and all a bit gloomy is a bad thing, for a band who are playing in the only covered area at that time, it’s a god send! We ended up playing to a good 400 strong crowd and the response was incredible. All of the Boardmasters crew were also incredibly hospitable and with any luck we’ll get to go back down there and play again one day! You can check out a cheeky gallery from the show here.

So that’s pretty much taken us up to date, there’s a few things we’ve also been up to, but I’m afraid we just can’t tell you about it right now. Our next show is on the 21st August with the almighty I Divide and it is sure to be a sweaty one, so come down and party with us. Has anyone actually read this far down? Could I get away with something funny? Scrotum.
